What is a roll up mattress?
A roll up mattress, also known as a compressed or vacuum-packed mattress, is a type of mattress that can be easily rolled or folded into a compact size for shipping and transportation. This type of mattress is made from materials such as foam, latex, or pocket springs, and is compressed using a specialised machine before being sealed in a vacuum-sealed bag.
Roll up mattresses are popular because they are more convenient to transport than traditional mattresses, which can be bulky and difficult to move. They are also easier to store, as they take up less space when rolled up. Once the mattress is unpacked and unrolled, it will expand to its original size within a few hours.
Roll up mattresses are available in a variety of sizes and materials, and can provide a comfortable and supportive sleeping surface. They can be a good option for those who need to move frequently, have limited storage space, or want a mattress that is easy to set up.
What are the benefits of a roll up mattress?
Roll-up mattresses offer several benefits over traditional mattresses:
Convenience: Roll-up mattresses are more convenient than traditional mattresses as they can be easily transported due to their compact size. This makes them a great option for those who move frequently, have limited storage space, or need to transport their mattress.
Easy to set up: Roll-up mattresses are easy to set up and can be ready to use in just a few hours. Once the mattress is unpacked and unrolled, it will expand to its full size and shape. We recommend leaving the mattress to fully for 24 hours, before using.
Affordable: Roll-up mattresses are often more affordable than traditional mattresses, as they can be manufactured more efficiently and require less storage and transportation space.
Comfortable: Roll-up mattresses are made from a variety of materials including foam, latex, or pocket springs, and can provide a comfortable and supportive sleeping surface.
Hygienic: Roll-up mattresses are often vacuum-sealed before shipping, which can help to prevent dust mites and other allergens from accumulating inside the mattress.
How to set up your roll up mattress
1. Put your roll up mattress on your bed frame or divan base.
2. Remove the outer packaging by making a small incision and then tearing the plastic away by hand. If a pair of scissors is used, please be careful not to cut the mattress cover. Do not use a knife.
3. Roll out the compressed mattress on to your bed frame.
4. Allow the mattress to decompress and regain its shape. The mattress can be slept on immediately, but please allow at least 24 hours for it to return to its original length and thickness.
5. Enjoy a good night's sleep!
